Accommodation

Sweet dreams

A good sleep is an important part of the Metsä Kolo experience. We’ve chosen quality, natural materials and a generous touch of everyday luxury for our beds and bedding.

Depending on your accommodation, you’ll sleep in a finish design bed or on a Finnish-made horsehair futon. Our duvets and pillows are filled with Finnish sheep’s wool, the bed linen are made from soft linen, and luxurious linen towels by Lapuan Kankurit await you in the sauna.

It’s the little details that turn rest into an experience of its own. At Metsä Kolo, sweet dreams are one of life’s simple pleasures.

Rest, Naturally

At Metsä Kolo, luxury isn’t about constant background noise, artificial gadgets or comfort wrapped in plastic. It’s about sleeping well, natural materials and having space to breathe.

I make my own laundry detergent, and we don’t use fragranced products for cleaning or washing. We favour linen, cotton, wood and other natural materials, and avoid plastics and harmful chemicals wherever possible.

There is no constant hum of air conditioning in our cabins. Fresh air comes through a window you can open whenever you like. If you’d prefer an even simpler stay, you can switch off the cabin’s electricity altogether — just remember that electrical appliances, including the fridge, will switch off too.

Less noise. More nature. Let your body find its own quiet.

Our returning guests value the calm, natural surroundings. Many tell us they sleep like babies at Metsä Kolo. Without unnecessary noise, artificial fragrances or a constant stream of stimulation, it’s easier to unwind, leave the pressures of everyday life behind and simply rest.

Horsehair futons

Haluamme hemmotella vieraitamme rauhottavilla unilla.

Duvets and pillows

Haluamme hemmotella vieraitamme kotimaisilla luonnontuotteilla.

Duvet covers and pillowcases

Haluamme hemmotella vieraitamme pehmoisilla pellavalakanoilla.
Finlayson halusi valmistaa maailman kestävimmät lakanat, joihin he ottivat mallia tähän päivään säilyneestä Torinon käärinliinasta.

Towels

Haluamme hemmotella vieraitamme parhailla pyyheliinoilla.
